Parks & Play - Open Space Strategy Survey

SURVEY INFORMATION

The Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 requires West Lothian Council to prepare and publish an Open Space Strategy (The Strategy). The Strategy sets out the Council's policies and proposals related to the development, maintenance and use of Open Space in West Lothian, including our parks, play areas and natural environments.

To develop the Strategy, the Council are undertaking an audit of existing open space and an assessment of current and future requirements. Your views are essential in this process. The results of this survey will inform the ‘Action Plan’ and the priorities we set for investment in open spaces across West Lothian, and within your local area, for the next 10 years.

Please fill out the survey below to help protect and enhance those open spaces you value and benefit the most from.

The survey deadline is 14 April 2026.

A final report detailing survey results and next steps will be published after data is analysed.
